Spring Break

My spring break was so much fun. The first week we had off I got to spend the whole week with my best friends Trevor and Miguel. We had so much fun it was so chill. We also had story time. That’s where Trevor plays his guitar and me and Miguel just talk about all the memories we have had. We also went to the batting cages and had a competition on who can hit the best. I won because I broke the bat hitting the ball as soon as I got in the cage. They were laughing so badly and none of the workers believed that I actually broke a bat! After that we went to a park and had a BBQ, we also played tackle football and then we had a wrestling match.

The second week was the funniest. My friend Ashley and I went to Laughlin for 5 days. We stayed in the Avi hotel and casino in Nevada. The hotel was right on the river so everyday we would go and lay out although it was to cold to go in the water. We also went to a little town called Oatman. This was like a biker town and wild donkeys roam the area and you can actually get close and pet them and also feed them carrots. We took pictures of all the scenery and it was right on route 66. We spent half the day there and watched little skits put on by cowboys telling the story of the town. After we left we went back to the hotel and then we went to the movie theater inside the casino and we saw The Haunting in Connecticut. The rest of the trip was simply a paradise. Relaxing by the river and getting a tan. We are also going back there in the summer =)

Mar. 30th, 2009 @ 01:17 pm Why such a great band broke up!?
Tags: ,

They broke up for the same reason they were successful--they were all extremely talented musicians interested in trying new things. We can argue about whether that describes Ringo or not, but I think in general it's true.

The breakup really began in 1967 with the death of Brian Epstein, who had managed the group since late 1961. Epstein was the one who kept the Beatles working together, resolving disputes between members, soothing bruised egos, and most importantly, handling the money.

After Epstein's death, Paul McCartney tried to step into that role and act as group leader. Unfortunately, Paul's first decision was to involve the group in the film Magical Mystery Tour.  While the associated album did well, the film was a disaster financially and artistically. John mocked Paul for the failure, and while Paul still ostensibly led the group, none of the others paid much attention to him.

Although everyone wants to believe that they broke up because of yoko onos opinion of the band causing john lennon to quit the band i believe they just wanted to be seperate and be on their own during life instead of being held back by the other band mambers.

The Beatles were a rock and pop band from Liverpool, England that formed in 1960. During their career, the group primarily consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and skiffle, the group worked with different musical genres, ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. Their clothes, style and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s. :)
